Product Description
The all new Atlona AT-DP300 is an HDMI to Mini DisplayPort Converter and Scaler, a perfect gadget which allows users connecting HDMI related sources such as PS3, Xbox 360, Apple TV, Cable or Satellite Receivers and Blu-Ray Players to new Apple Displays and Computers, e.g., Apple 24-inch LED, Apple 27-inch LED and Apple 27-inch iMac. The device also works with non-Apple displays, e.g., HP, Dell, and others; however Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapter will be required. The AT-DP300 is capable of accepting any incoming resolution up to 1080p through HDMI input and convert/scale the output up to 1920x1200.The reason why it is limited to 720p on the 27-inch iMac and LED is because 27-inch iMac and 27-inch LED are only capable of 3 resolutions 800x600, 1280x720 or 2560x1440 and since the DP300 can only go up to 1920x1200 (which is below 2560x1440), it will switch to the next resolution down which is 1280x720 (720p).
